Saints vs Texans Odds, Picks, and Predictions Week 6: Pierce Continues to do Legwork

A 34-0 win would normally be enough to win over the NFL betting markets, but the New Orleans Saints and their Week 6 odds aren’t drawing action ahead of a non-conference clash with the Houston Texans.

NFL odds opened New Orleans as big as a 2.5-point road favorite following their one-sided win over New England in Week 5, but the early money has been on host Houston. That’s slimmed this spread to as low as NOLA -1 at some sportsbooks.

I dig into the adjustment for the spread and Over/Under total for this Sunday showdown and give my best free NFL picks and predictions for Saints at Texans on October 15.

George Pickens Odds and Props: Open the Curtains

All of a sudden, the Pittsburgh Steelers have pulled themselves out of the bottom of the AFC standings and have a real shot at the playoffs if a few things go their way. First and foremost, however, Mike Tomlin and Co. will need to take care of a Baltimore Ravens team that’s resting its starters.

The only reason the Steelers are even in this position is thanks to Mason Rudolph igniting a stale offense and utilizing the plethora of talented playmakers around him. Chief among them has been George Pickens.

You can see how I’m betting on the George Pickens odds as we dive into the Week 18 NFL odds in my free NFL picks below.

‘We were shocked, stunned’: 50 years since Dundalk v Corinthians Nomads

“I was going through my scrapbook and I was looking at photographs from the game and ‘Eusébio’ had one of the girls on her shoulders, another on top of her, and they were singing their heads off,” reflects Paula Gorham with a laugh. “And they were out there getting trounced!”

It is 50 years this week since the then 16-year-old Gorham, from a family of 11, took her first trip out of Ireland to play for Dundalk Ladies against Corinthians Nomads from Manchester in a de facto England v Republic of Ireland international at Prestatyn Raceway in Wales.

Rangnick says Rashford free to leave United if game-time is a problem

Ralf Rangnick denied Marcus Rashford has not had enough game-time under him, with Manchester United’s interim manager stating the forward is free to consider leaving in the summer if he wishes.

The 24-year-old is thinking about whether to depart because he is unhappy at his number of minutes since Rangnick took over in November. Rashford did not start Sunday’s 4-1 loss at Manchester City, which was the fourth consecutive league match he has been a substitute, though he was in the XI that drew at Atlético Madrid a fortnight ago. In all Rashford has made 10 starts and been a replacement four times under the German.

There will never be no wrong VAR calls – but is having refs in charge the right one?

I will love it if we beat them. You can’t win anything with kids. When the seagull follows the trawler. I am a special one. Time to add another unforgettable line to the history of the Premier League: “That’s wrong that, Daz.”

Four words of agonising paralysis from the VAR room. By the end it sounds like the black box recording of pilot and co-pilot careering into a mountain: “Can’t do anything.” “No.” “I can’t do anything.” Three seconds of silence. “[Expletive].”

In the middle of it, the superhero we never knew we needed – Mo Abby, the artist formerly known as UNNAMED REPLAY OPERATOR. “Are you happy with this?” he asks politely as the crisis unfolds in front of his eyes. Something…

Red Sox RHP Garrett Whitlock (elbow) to miss remainder of 2024

Boston Red Sox right-hander Garrett Whitlock told reporters on Saturday that he miss the remainder of the season to undergo an elbow procedure. Whitlock, 27, is set to undergo an internal brace procedure that has a one-year recovery time as opposed to the potential 15-month recovery time from Tommy John surgery. He had a Tommy John procedure done in 2019 when he was a minor leaguer in the New York Yankees' system. Whitlock originally went on the injured list in April with an oblique injury. He made just four starts this season, going 1-0 with a 1.96 ERA in 18 1/3 innings. He last appeared in a game on April 16. In four seasons with Boston, Whitlock is 18-11 with a 3.39 ERA in 103 appearances (23 starts). –Field Level Media …

2022 Rookie wide receiver ranking Week 3: Chris Olave, Drake London, and Garrett Wilson show out

Last season we did our weekly rookie quarterback tracker, but with only one taken in the first round of 2022, we’ve moved onto another highly coveted position. For 2022 we’ll keep track of all six first-round wide receivers and their progress throughout the year. Some of our first-round rookies are already off to the races and contributing heavily to their teams. One exception on the list for at least another couple of weeks is Detroit Lions first-round pick Jameson Williams, from Alabama. Williams tore his ACL in last year’s National Championship game but is on track to make his debut for the Lions (1-2) this season. Let’s check out this year’s group of rookie first-rounders. Why Your Team Sucks 2016: San Diego Chargers

Some people are fans of the San Diego Chargers. But many, many more people are NOT fans of the San Diego Chargers. This 2016 Deadspin NFL team preview is for those in the latter group. Read all the previews so far here. And buy Drew’s new book here. Your team: Los Angele… NO WAIT! San Diego! Yep, still the San Diego Chargers. Pretty awkward. Your 2015 record: 4-12, the highlight of which was a 30-14 blowout of the Dolphins that would have made for a heartwarming final game in San Diego… if it had actually BEEN the final game in San Diego. Now we have to do it all over again, with San Diego forced to choose between tentatively saying goodbye to the Chargers one more time or chipping in over a BILLION dollars for a new stadium. I’m all for loyalty, but if I were a Chargers fa…
